Reflection for the first half of the year

Hello everyone!I am sorry for writing this reflection late.First of all I think Mdm Lakshmi is a great teacher. When I first met her during the first day of school,I thought that Mdm Lakshmi was a fierce teacher.But after that I realised that she is not fierce teacher at all. Mdm Lakshmi help us in our studies .
I remember one time when she taught how to visualize the triangle for Maths and for the English ,Mdm Lakshmi will tell us to find the clues for the Comprehension Cloze and then draw the arrows.This improve my English and maths result. Our classroom is nicely decorate with posters and our group and individual work stapled and put at the back of the classroom.I liked the Attitude poem the best.
I hope Mdm Lakshmi will teach us next year. See all of you tomorrow.

MY REFLECTIONS

The First Half Of The Year

Hi everyone, sorry for the late reflections handed in. I'm going to write in my reflections. When I knew Mdm Lakshmi was our P5 form teacher, I was frightened because her name sounds so fierce to me. (although I have not seen her before) But now, it doesn't seems so! She's actually a fun-loving person and jokes a lot, but might be quite fierce when she is mad. She often says, "When you are good, I'm better. When you are bad, I'm worst." When she says that, it really makes my hair stands.

And our classroom? Oh its great! She puts up all our individual work in a folder, on the board behind our classroom. Sometimes, she also let us do some group work that help us to co-ordinate and co-operate.

Oh yeah, I almost forgotten. Her teaching style is very different from other teachers, she usually tells us stories about her past, and sometimes she asks us to write our own poems! (which is actually quite difficult at times)

I really feel contented to have such a teacher. I hope that all of us will go on smoothly with our Term 3 relief teacher and wait for Mdm Lakshmi's arrival in Term 4. I would like to wish all the best to Mdm Lakshmi during her absence and of course to my classmates too! :)

My reflection(Daniel's)

Hey everyone!I'm very sorry for the delay in writing this reflection.I had had a really hard time figuring out what the username was and it took me quite a while to realise that I'd already written it down in my handbook.During the first half of the year,I learnt many things from Mdm Lakshmi like how to write really big numbers,divide fractions,multiply them,add them,subtract them,convert them into fractions.........Okay,you get my point.Mdm Lakshmi is a great teacher and has helped each and every one of us to improve in both our chracters and our studies.She is trulya remarkable teacher!(but she's a little weird too)

My reflection for the 1st half year

Hey! Every one I am really sorry I forgot to post earlier. Most of the class are improving their results making me think that mdm Lakshmi's teachings are improving the weak in math and English. The classroom is a good place to study as mdm Lakshmi let us show off our work and group work. I was surprised to know that there was a math compotition (by the way I forgot when the compotition is so can someone coment it to me) I got interested in it but then I had to learn algebra. I would like to the most challenging math questions that could be solved by primary fives.

Reflection for the 1st half of the year

Hi everyone! I'm sorry I am late. I did not check my email and didn't know that I have to type my reflection. As a whole, I find the first half of the year interesting and fun. When Mdm Lakshmi came into the class on the first day of school, I thought that she was going to be fierce teacher but it turn out that she was not at all fierce.(Only sometimes if we make her angry) I think her teaching style is interesting and fun. I hope to improve in all my subjects so that I can stay in the same class next year.

MY REFLECTIONS FOR THE FIRST SEMESTER

Hello everyone! I apologise for the late post. Below are my reflections for the first semester as well as my holiday plans.




Holiday Plans
Well, my family did not go overseas due to Influenza A H1N1. Instead we went for a programme in the Zoo and Night Safari called Sleep With The Beasts. (Those who read the Wildlife Wonders magazine should know what it is. ) Believe me, it is not called 'sleep with the beasts' for nothing, it is known that a cobra lives at the place we camped. The bad thing was that there was supposed to be a campfire but the fire blew out after less than a minute.



My Reflections For The First Semester

- The Class As A Whole
The class was really noisy at times and some of the boys loved to matchmake and I am not sure why. The thing is that they matchmake almost everybody but themselves! (Sorry if I offended anyone of you!)

- The classroom
I like the classroom as it is nicely decorated with posters, our individual and group work. I especially like the poster which stated: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

- The new things that got me interested
I am usually not very interested in art but I enjoyed doing the art piece where we used recycled cardboard to make a door hanger and a coaster.

- Mdm Lakshmi's teaching style
You could say that her teaching style is fun and scary. Fun as in learning things while cracking some jokes. Scary as in that spinning thing, (I kind of forgotten what it was called) because you would never know when you would get chosen. She also taught us visualisation and drawing arrows in the comprehension cloze section which I thought was quite useful. However, I would prefer Mdm Lakshmi to give us the answer first before we went back to do corrections so we can check if our corrections were correct.

- What else I would like to see for the next half of the year
I would like to see more interesting lessons and like to see myself improve as I did worse than I thought for SA1 Paper 2.

My reflection - done by Grace

This is Grace , and I'm writing the reflection for my first half of the year . I think that the classroom looks really nice , mostly because of the decorations that the teachers have put up on the blackboards at the front and the back of the classroom . I am quite disappointed with my results for the CA1 and SA1 examinations , and I will study harder for my CA2 and SA2 examinations in order to pursuit and aquire better marks and results . Also , Mdm Lakshmi , your teaching style is absolutely fine . As I have already mentioned eariler , the classroom looks just right , so I can't think of much that would make it look nicer . As for the things that got me interested , I would say that it was the acrostic poems the classroom wrote , designed and stapled at the back of the classroom . Some of them were really colourful , and that helped to brighten up the 5E classroom . Now , about the class as a whole , I think that we , 5E , are a quite cheerful lot , rowdy at times . So ... I guess that that's the end of my reflection , and I sincerely wish everyone luck in improving in their examinations' results by the end of the year .

Hi eveyone in 5E, Jonah speaking here... ...

At the start of the year when Mdm Lakshmi started to teach us we all(as a class) felt very scared(except the ones who do not bother) because she look very fierce but as days past we got to understand the way of her teaching and have adapted to the lifestyle.I am always weak in my languages I hope to improve on them and maintain my math and science in top standard so that I may get the book prize again.

About the holiday plans... ...
My brothers and I with my parents went to Genting to have fun but my youngest brother was not feeling well but we still had a fun time and everyone was happy.

Good/Bad things about Mdm Lakshmi... ...
she can tolerate all the things we do and she is very patient in teaching us she also gave us the exams papers from her son's school to let us practise and practise until we get it.I wish everyone a 'HAPPY HOLIDAY'. Have fun :)

Reflection

Mdm Lakshmi's teaching is different from other teachers.She left us puzzled with (challenging) math questions.Her explainations are clear and easy to understand.She is rich in vocabulary.She encourages us to learn new words by finding a (challenging) word in her dictionary and asks us to find the meaning of the word in our dictionarys.She let the class compete with each other .Once you found the meaning of the word,run to Mdm Lakshmi and tell her the meaning of the word.The top three groups who find the meaning of the word gets points.
Conclusion
Mdm Lakshmi is a great teacher!I really hope Mdm Lakshmi is our form teacher next year.

Hi! This is Wen Ching . I extend my apologies for posting only now when we were supposed to post ages ago. The first half of the year with Mdm Lakshmi was quite eventful and also a fruitful learning journey for me and maybe for all other pupils in 5E too. Mdm Lakshmi taught us many different techniques and skills which were vital for us so that we could understand those techniques and skills and apply them not only in exams, but also in our daily lives. Sometimes our results in mock-tests, exams and sometimes even homework practices were not up to Mdm Lakshmi's expectations, so she found our weaker areas and worked on them with us. I like questions which include the areas of triangles because Mdm Lakshmi will always teach us how to visualize which I found to be a very useful tool in examinations. Overall, I think that Mdm Lakshmi is a wonderful teacher who inspires me to keep working hard to get good results.

At the start of the year,when i first heard that Mdm Lakshmi would become my form teacher,i was scared.I thought that she was a strict and fierce teacher. For now,i wold not say she is not a strict teacher, but at least not as strict as i thought.Mdm Lakshmi's method of teaching is not like any other teacher.Her lessons are always interesting and fun.Through her enriching lessons, i hav learnt a lot and my results have improved a little.I hope that Mdm Lakshmi would teach me again next year.

Reflection for First Half of year

Hi Everyone, I'm sorry that I'm late in handing in my reflection as my father is always occupying the computer. When Mdm Lakshmi first entered the classroom, (just like everyone else,) I thought she was fierce. But I soon found out that she is actually a nicer teacher than first expected. She helps us in our studies and makes lessons more interesting. I hope the relief teacher will be as nice as her. I hope everyone enjoys their holidays. See you soon!

Hehe i nearly forgot about this thing but let's get started.

At the start of the year,i thought that mdm lakshmi was a very fierce teacher but as weeks went by,i found her very nice(not all the time).I think i have to blame myself for not always handing in my homework on time and causing trouble for myself but even though i hate her like Austin but sometimes her teaching is very interesting and fun.But sadly my results turned out bad,very bad,worse than i had expected.And by the way,sorry about doing it so late(i don't check my email often)although i recieved 3emails from you hehe.I will try my best in term 3 and 4 so that i can remain in the same class!

Hello everyone!It is time for me to do my reflection of the first half of the year.

I think that Mdm Lakshmi is a great teacher.I love her interesting teaching method and her explanations are always clear.She always makes her lessons fun.I never get bored when she is teaching.She is also a very kind and patient teacher.I am not scared to ask her questions if I am not sure.I can say that she is fierce at times but I think that all the scolding are for our own good.At first,I was extremely scared of her but after knowing her better,I wasn't scared of her any more.Even though she always replace our computer lessons with english,math or other lessons,I am still okay with it because I know that whatever she do there will always be a good reason behind it and not only that I am also sure that she knows what is the best for us.

My homework on reflection of first half of the year! :)

Hi,
I'm Austin, my first half of the year with Mdm Lakshmi was fun and enjoyable. The first day, when Mdm Lakshmi came into the class , I kept on begging that she was just a relieved teacher but when she said she was our form teacher, I was SHOCKED and AFRAID!


Good things about Mdm Lakshmi
After this half a year, I find that she is a kind and patient teacher. She is also a teacher that keeps her promise, even if she forgot to do somthing she said she would , she would say sorry. Another good thing is, even if i am the only one in class who does not know how to do the questions, she would also explain it to us. She is also a creative and very very weird teacher. She always have creative ways of teaching us, which makes our class special(thanks to Mdm Lakshmi).

Bad things about Mdm lakshmi
Ok, ok I know I am the one who was the happiest about Mdm Lakshmi going for PDL(Professional Development Leave) means I hate her a lot also meaning she has a lot of bad things to me but no, I do not hate her, at the same time not happy about her going for PDL but sad cause she was such a kind and patient teacher and one more thing, I do not have anything bad about her to write down.All this are true, trust me.

That's all and THANKS Mdm Lakshmi you have been a great teacher wish you will teach me again next year.

My Reflection of the first half of the year!

Hi, everybody. It is time I am going to write my reflections of the first half of the year.
As the first half of the year, we're going through so much learning with Mdm lakshmi, I am really grateful to her for helping me so much. I was rather sad and disappointed as I think my results had disappointed her. When the first time Mdm lakshmi was teaching our class, I thought Mdm Lakshmi was a fierce and weird teacher. But as we're going through so much, I had knew that she is a good teacher. This teacher is worth our appreciation.

I liked her teaching as her teaching was rather strange and creative. To improve our English language, she had tested some vocab on our spelling time and anytime she liked. I had learned that we need to check dictionary when we had came through some of the vocab we don't know. For maths, I think that she had thought of some teaching methods to make our brains work. When we learned Area of Triangle, she had let us think of some different methods to solve the questions. My brain was really really confusing at that very moment.

I hope I could improve my studies over this june holidays. I hope that my SA1 has not disappointed Mdm Lakshmi. I am really fortunate to have Mdm Lakshmi this year.

Lastly, I hope everyone is safe and sound at home as H1N1 is spreading around the whole world including M'sia. So, Good luck! Bye! I missl all of you.

Reflection on the first half year:

Hi everyone!!I'm Huiyee.

I am going to write my reflection on the first half year.

I had a lot of fun and learnt many things too. Like Sharmayne, I also thought that mdm lakshmi was a terrible teacher at first.

After a few months,we started to change our views about her.

Actually she is a nice teacher after all.During Math lessons,especially when it comes to area of triangles,she will let us think of ways to solve it other than the answer(s)in the Math booklet to train us.

When going through worksheets, Mdm Lakshmi will explain clearly to people who does not understand it.

The classroom was well decorated and we had pieces of our work on the black board behind the classroom.

Sometimes she will test us on words in the dictionary and we have to spell it out either on our own or with our group members to expand our vocabulary.

I would like to see our results improving and the lessons more fun and interesting and the end of the year.

JUNE HOLIDAY PLANS:

I plan to do my asssesments on math and run around the park a few rounds to prepare for Napfa.

I will also read some books to enhance my vocabulary and play to relax after doing my homework.

Reflection on first half year

The first half year with Mdm Lakshmi was fun and exciting. At first, we all thought that she was a fierce and horrible teacher. After spending more time with her, we all realised that she was a teacher that teaches very well and does her best to make every lesson as fun as possible for us. Let us say for mathematics lessons, she makes sure that we all understand her explanations. If we do not understand any of her explanations, she will be very willing to explain it to us until everything gets into our mind. She would also ask us to find out another solution for some particular questions. She was after all a very good teacher. If we bad, she is worse. If we are good, she will be better. For the first half year, I have really been used to her teaching style. She expects us to do our best in everything, put our heart and soul to it. I will do better the next half year. I would do whatever she expects us to do to. Good to have her this year.
